Conference Program

Registration

To register for either the pre-conference workshop, the conference dinner or the conference, please download and complete a registration form. Completed registration forms can be forwarded to PCQ via fax: (07) 3633 0086, email: enquiries@palliativecareqld.org.au, in-person: 117 Copperfield St Geebung or mail: PO Box 437 Virginia Qld 4014.

Pre-Conference Workshop

PCQ and Ipswich Hospice Care have collaborated to develop two concurrent workshops that will be held on Friday May 21st, the day prior to the Biennial State Conference. The aim of the workshops is to strengthen the existing ‘team-work’ or ’self-care skills’ of health professionals working in the palliative care, end of life of aged care sector. Delegates can chose to attend either the ’teamwork’ workshop or the ’self-care’ workshop, at a cost of $140. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon-tea will be provided. Accomodation

Conference and pre-conference delegates will receive a discount on accommodation at the Metro Hotel Ipswich International, where a range of accommodation options are available including:

  • Deluxe Queen Room (maximum 2 people) $110
  • Deluxe Queen Room (1 person including hot breakfast) $129
  • Deluxe Queen Room (2 people including hot breakfast) $139

Airport Transfers

Brisbane airport is located 1 hour from the Ipswich CBD, with the Airtrain providing easy train access from both the domestic and international airports to both Brisbane City and the Ipswich CBD. Ipswich station is located approximately 300m from the Metro Hotel Ipswich International.

Car Parking

Free car parking at the Metro Hotel Ipswich International is available to all delegates attending the conference, with optional metered on-street parking also available. For delegates attending the pre-conference workshop at Ipswich Hospice, plenty of free on-street parking is available on Chermside Road.
